Never Say Die
hunger acrobatics
dangles the spring-dazzled squirrel
upside sideways sways
nose pinched in the weight-triggered trap
but sometimes just often enough
muckles a muzzleful of sunflower
and tumbles down to ground
to capture shaken seeds
