100 Day Project Complete! Cards 90-100 and all 100

There is an 'extra' card here which I needed to make 100 cards - at the start, I had a card that took two days, which broke my 'one card - one day' rule. So I made an extra at the end so that I'd have my 'full set.'

And the full set . . .

100 Day Project - Days 81 - 90

Only 10 days left! The 100 day countdown ended a while ago, but I am determined to make my 100 little cards. Some I really like, others, not so much. It will be fun to mix and sort them in different ways to look for interesting themes to explore further.

Took this photo, then forgot to post it June 3, 2026!

100 Day Project - Days 61-70

Thirty more days to go . . . used many tiny left-over scraps most days . . .

100 Day Project - Days 51-60

By 'official count' I should be up around card 70, but a cold got in the way. The important thing is that I am still plugging along with my project. Some days are not exciting, but others surprise me.

Please note that the lovely bird is a photo taken by a wonderful photographer, Jan Wegener, whose work you can find at: https://www.janwegener.com/  -- he has online classes about photography as well as selling his photos.

100 Day Project Days 42-50

Took a photo of these but forgot to post them - almost due to put up another 10!

Day 11: Bird Story

the morning sun reaches

the upper branches of our oak

in silhouette but not yet lit

perches a bird

a mockingbird I decide

the head - shoulders - one wing

illuminated

- gradually -

- the tail is correct -

the sunlight fulls:

The immovable bird

is a truncated branch.

100 Day Project - Days 34 - 41

I mostly used tiny collage bits this week and stamping with my eraser stamps. Except that the delicate leaves were printed by pressing real leaves and pine needles onto my stamp pad. It looked so nice that I used the idea for an Easter card.

Day 5 - Fog with Crocuses

"croci" is too piercing

for this softly foggy Easter morning,

though angry squirrels squawk at me

when I cast out crumbs of bread for them.

I know that those crocuses blooming

in the furthest corner of our yard,

apart from our garden,

were replanted

years ago

by tiny

paws.

Day 2: No Competition

Jays with their brash flashes of blue

spy the flock of dapper gray and white juncos

their bright yellow beaks finding the

first fresh food of spring after the rain.

The Blues mingle among them,

strut and flutter, nab a snack,

wings wide whisk to a higher vantage . . .

sated, unmoved, the juncos move on.

Day 1: Tanka for Spring

winter’s dry breath held         exhaled today - spring mist

scrimmed distant trees softened the kingfishers' flight

paired across the thawed pond

Waiting . . .

. . . waiting for bare branches to bear delicate leaves

for fluctuating ice to become “Ice Out!”

for shy shaded snows to boldly embrace the sun’s rays

for barren nests to beckon back nesters

for clinging rime, seedless flower heads, and decomposition to be done

and the warming glow

of red catkins drooping over the open water

and early red honeysuckle leaves on the arbor

to welcome home Spring.

100 Day Project: Days 25-33

The 4th card on the top is made of the pieces carved out from

an eraser stamps that I made - the pieces were too cute to toss!

Coming Soon (April 1) just because  . . .

April is Poetry Month:

NaPoWriMo2026

Still waiting for winter to end, 5 days into spring.

100 Day Project Days 18-25

Many of these have new carved dollar-store eraser stamps.

I went on a carving binge!

100 Day Project - Days 9 - 17

Eight cards again - some took double mini-sessions (glue drying or stitching) because I limited myself to 5-10 minutes - seriously!

100 Day Project 2026

Here are the first eight days of my project.

(Tip: You can click on the pix to see details.)

I've been printing out little sets of writing and art prompts for several years -- then NOT USING THEM. So I decided that I will try them out randomly for 100 days. I am using half of a 3"x5" index card each day.

Here is my compact set up:

A  recipe box of prompts for textile, mixed media, and writing -- 100 cards pre-cut -- some cheap fountain pens (great for sketching and blending with a water pen) -- and my check sheet. I already found one set of prompts to discard -- nothing in it sparked creativity -- and one set that will get a 'gold star' because I got excited about its inspiration.

Here are the first 8 days' cards. Some awful and some interesting:

July

heat lightning flies,

with fireflies vies -

flashing bright in

the thick, dark air.

time enough

restless edgy

achy from the wait

time to unfurl

sprout

feel the sun

shine

politics

just go

in the opposite direction

everything will be perfect

backwards

down

end
