Almost time for National/Global Poetry Writing Month!

The warm up prompt for today was to explore 'spine poems.' See their post for March 29, 2024 at:

Waiting

Spring comes and goes, wind
blown, trapped beneath ice - but see:
one crocus, rabbit-chewed.

Week 5 of 100 Day Project

Lots of stamping this week, using my own and purchased stamps, opaque paint set test swatch with florals added, continuing embroidered flowers, and the cleaning-my-brush and stamps scrap paper punched to make buttons.

April Poetry Month is on the way!

Here's setting my goal to write every day in April,
even if it isn't a whole poem a day
for National (or Global)Poetry Writing Month!

Week 4 of 100 Day Project

Added  my flower photo to mini book cover, clipped a tiny bundle of tiny flowers from 2 catalogs, experimented with dip pens I haven't used in a long time, tested stamps that I bought and never used and my own carved ones to make bits to add to journals and cards, sliced a print of a Wanderlust project to make 'washi tape' to glue down, and continued to work on strip of embroidered flowers on felt.

Wind Whipped

March is rattling the trees
shaking off their broken bones
spearing skeleton-white limbs
an inch or more into
the frost-heaved mush of
thawing earth
making me thankful
to not be shuddering tree
nor deep-soaked earth
gasping its last frosty
breath into the March wind.

Week 3 of 100 Day Project

The embroidered strip of felt and the accordion book of my flower photos to be continued during week 4, making it easy to grab 5 minutes a day to stay on track. (Hot glue flowers, stencil and prints/off-prints, the paper that was under the stencil when I cut it out.

Second Week of 100 Day Project

This week, I carved a little stamp in a Dollar Store eraser and explored using that. Also, Francesca Nunes has a posting that showed punching paper for texture so I did a bit of that as well. Reusing some printing blocks I made for Wanderlust in the past.
